Helen Richardson
Initially trained in psychology, Helen worked for some time in a Psychiatric Secure Unit
in Bristol before studying Law in Manchester.
Helen practised at Maidments Solicitors in Manchester before joining Brian Koffman
& Co in 1996. She was made a partner there in 2000. Helen then set up RH Law
with fellow partner Simon Harrison in 2008.
In her career as a criminal lawyer she has dealt with an incredibly diverse range
of crimes, defences and defendants. Helen prides herself on always giving clients the personal touch, as she is well aware how much difference a sensitive approach can
make at such a stressful time.
She qualified as a solicitor advocate in 2001, enabling her to defend clients in the
Crown Court. She specialises in Crown Court advocacy and has dealt with matters including arson, blackmail, GBH, sexual assault, fraud, firearms, robbery and armed robbery and the supply of drugs. She has also appeared at the Court of Appeal
where she successfully argued for a reduction in sentence.
